Community Based Participatory Action Research
Students apply lessons learned in math, science, history, and language arts into a year-long project that transforms our community. Students engage in learning because they are empowered to take action in their neighborhoods.
A student’s reading level in the third grade can predict if he or she will graduate high school. Our educators are trained to build students’ reading comprehension, vocabulary, and passion for reading starting in TK.
Blended Learning and Technology
We understand that students enter the classroom at different levels of proficiency. CCTS uses data and technology to personalize instruction by identifying areas that students need extra support.
21st Century Skills
CCTS guides students towards success by developing professional skills, such as communication, problem solving, and critical thinking. These skills are essential to building leaders in our local and global communities.
Social Emotional Learning
CCTS begins and ends every school day with Mind & Body Matters to build social emotional skills. This space encourages students to share with others the realities they face and build trusted relationships with their classmates and teachers.
